Stephen Godfrey Photography started in 1988 and has a diverse range of photography skills and clients. Areas of photography covered are commercial, advertising, archival and music industry sectors.

In recent years Stephen prides himself as a specialist in the Gothic, Metal and Alternative genres music industry, with many festivals and concerts from across the UK and Germany captured on traditional film and digital.

Stephen has been the official photographer for the Whitby Goth Weekend music festival since its conception in 1994. In 2015 he released a book entitled “Tune In, Look At, Goth Out! - Celebrating 20 years of the Whitby Goth Weekend". These books are available for purchase, here.

Stephen has an extensive knowledge in commercial and advertising photography, gained by capturing images for various top manufacturers and advertising agencies.

Stephen is also a practising artist who has exhibited at many places throughout the UK. A selection of his work can be viewed in the Fine Art section.
